Reports from over 100 projects in International Mining’s latest Project News

International Mining’s latest issue brings good news for mines in the Limpopo region as construction begins, on time, at Exxaro’s Grootegeluk mine – a project required to provide over 560 Mt of vital coal to Eskom’s Medupi plant. Elsewhere in Africa Azumah has raised over $11 million capital to push forward exploration at a 1.1 Moz Ghanian gold project. In Indonesia Kangaroo Resources is jumping into coal production with the completion of a multimillion dollar funding agreement.

Atlas Iron have already started mining at its Australian Wodgina project and are still running as they plan to quadruple production – gold production appears set to increase too. Integra Mining has upped its own production forecast by 20%, to create over $75 million in the first year, at an Australian gold project. Chalice have taken the last slice of the lucrative Zara gold project from Dragon Mining and Alexis Minerals have confirmed another profitable gold project – one with a greater promising potential for exploration than previously thought.

Alexis isn’t the only one reporting unexpectedly high results. Avalon Minerals have been receiving excellent initial findings at a Swedish iron and copper project from samples with over 95% recovery rates. In the meantime, Centaurus Metals is attempting to upgrade its Brazilian iron resources with an extensive diamond drilling program at Itambe.

This and much, much, more within the latest project news from around the world.
