International Mining’s IPCC technology meeting attracting industry-wide interest

imgp10352.JPGInternational Mining’s inaugural focussed mining technology conference on the subject of In-Pit Crushing & Conveying (IPCC) on 21-23 September in Belo Horizionte, Brazil is already gathering momentum with just under five months to go. Without exception – all six of the key players with fully mobile designs have indicated their intention to send delegations to the event; as have three of the key consulting groups as well as a number of major mining houses and component suppliers. Eight papers have already been confirmed, details of which will shortly be uploaded here and regularly updated.

The conference is unique in focussing on this topic only, but within the IPCC subject, it will also cover much more than fully mobile systems alone. Other relevant subject areas will include: Mine planning, and truck-shovel versus IPCC; Design criteria for IPCC; Semi Mobile IPCC; Conveyor systems for waste handling; Real mine case studies; Relocation of IPC and conveyor system; and other alternatives such as surface miners, bucketweel systems.

Belo Horizonte represents an ideal location for an event of this kind. It is in the centre of Brazil’s iron ore industry, where at least three fully mobile IPCC systems are being shipped to in 2011/2012; in addition a number of semi-mobile systems are already operating there, and ongoing studies are being conducted into further applications in iron ore, but also bauxite and other commodities. In South America as a whole, coal and hard rock metallic mines are also looking at IPCC technology.

Our event is being held in Belo Horizonte’s premium hotel, the Ouro Minas. Opportunities remain for sponsorship and speaking opportunities. Please contact IM Editor and IPCC Conference Director, Paul Moore, with expressions of interest at [email protected]
