IMME 2012 event approaches in Kolkata

imme2012.jpgThe Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) is organising the 11th International Mining and Machinery Exhibition – IMME 2012 from 5-8 December 2012 at Salt Lake Grounds, Kolkata, India. The event is supported by Coal India, the Ministry of Mines and the Government of India, and will be attended by International Mining. Running concurrently with this event is the sister CII event, The Global Mining Summit 2012, from 5-6 December 2012 in the Hyatt Regency Kolkata.

The US is the partner country at both IMME and GMS 2012 and Australia is the focus country. There are country pavilions from USA, Australia, Germany, UK, China, Poland, Canada and the Czech Republic at the exhibition. In addition there will be individual participation by exhibitors from Russia, Singapore, Dubai, Finland, France and a range of other nations. The event will feature “exhibitors, professionals, buyers and delegates who are looking to forge strategic partnerships, joint ventures, technology transfers and business to business alliances.” The organisers have said that they expect more than 8,000 business visitors to visit the exhibition including delegations from Coal India and other key mining companies. The Global Mining Summit 2012 will focus mainly on exploration, technology, policy frameworks, emerging business opportunities in the Indian Mining sector, discuss strategies to achieve high growth in mining, role of financial institutions for developing the mining sector, environmental and safety issues and provide a platform for exchange of views, ideas and business linkages among the Indian and global participants. More than 500 delegates are expected to attend the two day conference.
