Dassault Systèmes release new scheduling software

Dassault Systèmes has released the latest version of GEOVIA MineSched™. The software has been claimed to be the most innovative scheduling software user experience for mining. MineSched is used in borth surface and underground mining operations to produce long-term and short-term schedules, that will meet all of a mine’s targets. MineSched can schedule from pre-created block, grid, and polygon models that originate from many different mine planning systems, including Surpac and GEMS.

The new MineSched 9.0 delivers integration with every major geology and mine planning software package on the market, with the aim of providing mining companies and engineers with advanced tools to maximize productivity and profits.

It includes intuitive, rapid schedule setup and guided workflows which take the complexity out of scheduling. It also provides its users with the benefits of push-button scheduling, drawing upon a wide variety of mining data sources as inputs. By employing the same rules which are used to run mine sites, along with fast schedule scenario creation and comparison, mining companies have new tools in their arsenal to help them boost productivity and keep mining costs under control.

MineSched 9.0 also includes:

  • As a true 64-bit application, it allows larger and more complex data processing on Microsoft’s latest operating systems.
  • Support for even more mining data formats enables direct model import and setup schedule without the need for file conversion.
  • Additional 3D mining data export formats provide even more flexible publishing options to share information onsite, with the corporate office, and with other stakeholders.
  • Enhanced haulage functions allow for the evaluation of a large number of options so the best alternative can be determined.
