Gekko broadens range to include mine emergency and rescue equipment

Gekko Systems has announced an extension of its product range to include emergency, rescue and height safety equipment from Ferno Australia. Gekko said that its philosophy of “our business is about people” is now complemented by the specialised equipment Ferno offers, as well as providing customers the convenience of contacting one supplier for the purchase of an extended range of mining-related products.

Established in 1974, Ferno has extensive experience specialising in the supply of a complete suite of products that not only meets Australian standards, but also performs exactly as expected. For example, the Arachnipod has been drop test rated for a 280 kg rescue load and has the capability of holding a 280 kg high directional load as well as a belay system. The Ferno product range includes, but is not limited to; stretchers and rescue devices, total edge management systems, anchor systems, as well as descenders, pulley, karabiners and a full range of personal protective equipment.
