CoorsTek advances wear-resistant ceramics at MINExpo 2016

Engineered ceramic liners, tiles, and components extend material handling equipment life—improving uptime and profitability. CoorsTek, a world leading supplier of engineered ceramics, is showcasing an extensive portfolio of wear-resistant ceramics available for today’s mining applications at next week’s MINExpo in Las Vegas. By extending the life of material handling equipment, these ceramics help mining operators improve uptime and profitability.

CoorsTek CeraSurf® ceramic liners and components are specifically engineered to endure the severe conditions in conveyors, chutes, cyclones, piping, silos, and other material handling equipment. CeraSurf alumina and UltraSiC™ silicon carbide ceramics combine higher strength with better abrasion and corrosion resistance, outperforming traditional materials by as much as 10:1.

CoorsTek will be featuring:

  • A recently developed alumina material that has already demonstrated superior abrasion and impact resistance in both lab and field tests
  • Ceramic tiles vulcanized into a rubber backing to enhance impact resistance
  • Wear-resistant ceramic liners, tiles, piping, hydro-cyclone cones, and other custom engineered components to support bulk material handling.
