Camso reinforces tough product range with two new skid steer tyres

Camso, formerly Camoplast Solideal, continues to strengthen its construction tyre portfolio with the launch of two next generation skid steer tyres. “As the leader in skid steer tyre solutions, Camso engineered these next generation tyres based on a deep understanding of the specific needs of end users. They’re part of the widest range of skid steer tyres in the industry. The Camso SKS 753 provides versatility and optimal durability on mixed and hard surfaces, while the Camso SKS 532 delivers superior traction on soft soil surfaces.”

“The construction industry has evolved over the years. General jobs have become more specialised and the skid steer’s versatility has been able to respond to this reality. As applications become more specialised so should the tyres that work in them. “We believe productivity and profitability can be maximised when you choose the right tyre for your application,” says David DeWaele, Product Management Director, EMEA and APAC – Construction. “Beyond offering the widest range of tyres, OTT and rubber tracks, having the best solution to suit any particular application is what is really driving us.”

Building on past innovations, the Camso SKS 753 and SKS 532 are the fourth and fifth skid steer tyre Camso has launched since January 2015. All of which are built with features that increase tyre performance and overall durability.

The Camso SKS 753 “takes versatility and durability to the next level. This bias-ply, pneumatic tyre is the perfect tyre for rental fleets and other mixed and hard surfaces. Its innovative, non-directional tread pattern optimises durability and versatility. Its high lug-to-void ratio provides excellent wear and puncture resistance on hard surfaces, while its stepped shoulder lugs improve traction on softer surfaces. The Camso SKS 753 is the next-generation of the well-known Solideal Hauler SKZ and will out-last it by 30%.”

The Camso SKS 532 delivers superior traction on soft soil. Traction is essential for productivity in soft soils and for digging deeper into the pile. “Designed for optimum performance on general-duty, mixed-soft surfaces like construction applications, the bias-ply Camso SKS 532 improves both traction and durability with its extra-deep directional tread and curved lugs. Its unique stepped tread pattern provides excellent mud clean out and comes with a Void Guard to reinforce and protect the carcass to prevent punctures and minimise flats. The Camso SKS 532 surpasses its predecessor, the Solideal Xtra Wall, with 30% longer life.”

To protect against sidewall damage, both new tyres incorporate Camso’s reverse sidewall design with impact guard to deflect objects and debris away from the tyre. This feature better protects the product from sidewall damage working to extend its life, and ultimately, contributes to a lower operating cost solution.

Products are currently available for purchase in Europe, the Americas, Middle East, Africa and Asia through Camso’s broad distribution network. To better serve its European customers, Camso launched on November 12 the German version of its Road Free website, which is already available in French and English. The Camso product selector enables visitors to find the right tyre according to their vehicle, brand and surface type. The site also offers editorial content created by Camso product specialists, focused on helping users overcome mobility issues in off-the-road applications in the four sectors in which the company operates.
