Major Wire hosts screening maintenance event at new North Carolina facility

major-new.jpgMontreal-based Major Wire Industries recently welcomed producers and authorised dealers from the southern US region to an open house at its newest facility, Major Wire Screening Inc, in Salisbury, North Carolina. The 55,000 ft2 weaving and finishing facility matches Major Wire’s ISO 9001:2008 registered process and quality standards, allowing it to efficiently deliver all of Major Wire’s OptimumWire woven wire solutions with its superior wear life for screening in the quarrying, mining and industrial minerals markets.

The event included an interactive Screen Maintenance Seminar designed to help producers identify common screening problems that reduce production rates. Major Wire Screening specialises in weaving standard and customised woven wire cloth. “We keep more than 70 standard sizes in stock at all times,” said Steve Taylor, General Manager for Major Wire Screening. “If you need another size, however, we can customise panels with openings as small as 10 mesh and with wire diameters from 0.635 mm to 6.35 mm.” Major Wire Screening supplies a full line of screening accessories, from polyurethane and rubber screen media to screen bolts, nuts and washers to crown bar rubber, clamp rails, center hold-down bars, and wear protection accessories.

Celebrating more than 125 years in business, parent company Major Wire Industries designs, manufactures and markets screening solutions, including Flex-Mat 3 High-Performance, Self-Cleaning Screen Media in Tensioned and Modular versions, OptimumWire and stainless steel woven wire cloth.
