Three-day mining conference in Adelaide includes address from Federal Resources Minister

A three-day conference is to be held in Adelaide – the Paydirt 2013 Uranium Conference, now in its eighth April 29) and the Paydirt 2013 South Australian Resources and Energy Investment Conference (April 30–May 1). Around 50 speakers will address the three-day conference, including the new Federal Government Resources and Energy Minister, the Hon. Gary Gray, SA Premier, the Hon Jay Wetherill, SA’s Mines and Energy Minister, the Hon. Tom Koutsantonis who is a prominent commentator on Australia’s emerging potential sales of uranium to India.

The agenda for the uranium conference includes issues of climate change and productivity challenges in the mining sector as well as providing an update on the new access arrangement for exploration and mining in the Woomera Prohibited Area.

Over 330 delegates are expected to gather in the Adelaide Convention Centre for the South Australian resources conference, which is supported by the Department for Manufacturing, Innovation, Trade, Resources and Energy (DMITRE) and looks to showcase the successful development of the South Australian resource potential in 2013.
