WipWare continually embraces innovation and leading-edge technology, during the last year investigating the use of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) for blast fragmentation studies, using 3-D printed prototyping in its research and development projects, and partnering with initiatives such as Innovation Initiatives Ontario North (IION) and the Innovation Center for Advanced Manufacturing and Production (ICAMP). Its innovation has been recognized with two recent awards.
Earlier this year WipWare’s entrepreneurial achievement was recognized by PROFIT 500, ranking in the top third of Canada’s Fastest-Growing Companies as rated by revenue growth over five years.
Most recently the company received the Innovation Award during the Bell Evening of Excellence Awards ceremony as part of the North Bay & District Chamber of Commerce 2013 Small Business Week activities. “It’s gratifying that the team we’ve assembled receives this recognition,” said WipWare President Tom Palangio. “We encourage our people to think outside the box and that, in part, leads to the ongoing success that WipWare has experienced.”
WipWare is an industrial automation firm producing fragmentation analysis software and automated photoanalysis hardware systems primarily servicing mining.
