Mogensen MSort for ore sorting by colour

Mogensen’s MSort scans ore in free fall by means of a colour line camera. The respective data is evaluated by freely programmable sorting software of an industrial computer by colour, brightness and size into good product and rejects. The computer passes this information to up to 400 fast and robust compressed air valves, each of which serves one compressed air nozzle.

Rejects are evaluated by position, shape and size and blown out of the material flow. Depending on material, particle size distribution and the quantity of rejected material, different quantities may be sorted.

MSort models AT and AH offer double-sided detection of the material. For coarse sorting, particle weights of up to 14 kg are reliably sorted Mogensen reports. The company also says these machines offer “low-maintenance operation thanks to optimised suction, automatic cleaning and long-lived light and compressed air components.”

Effective wear protection is provided by Hardox or Vautid as well as solid steel and partly stainless steel options to “ensure long-term operation with long endurance.”

Robust models designed for mining include the AP 1200 for particles of 10–50 mm maximum at 40 t/h (moist, washed bulk material), AS/AT 1200 for particles of 15–80 mm at 90 t/h, AG/AH 1200 for 80–250 mm particles at up to 200 t/h and AG/AH 1500 for the same particle size range and throughputs up to 250 t/h.

Mogensen’s new test centre has six production machines available to test customer material in the particle range of 1 – 100 mm. The in-house screening technology test centre can be also used to screen customer material. chemicals and water.
