GFS Corp secures new LNG mine truck conversion project in Mexico

GFS Corp, the manufacturer of the EVO-MT® 9300 System is set to convert Komatsu 930E haul trucks to LNG operation at a mine in Mexico. The EVO-MT® System allows large mining equipment to use LNG in place of the diesel fuel to save money and to reduce emissions. The fully integrated system includes onboard LNG storage and vaporization as well as engine controls and safety systems. The version of the system to be used in the Mexico project will include both a hydraulic/LNG combo tank and the optional diesel/LNG combo tank providing a total of 600 usable gallons of LNG storage capacity.

“We are excited about the opportunity to bring our EVO-MT® technology to the mining sector in Mexico”, said Jason Green, GFS Corp’s President and Chief Technology Officer. “We see this new project as additional validation that the use of LNG can have a positive impact on sustainability while reducing production costs for global mining companies.”

GFS Corp currently offers retrofit NG+D®, natural gas plus diesel, systems for the following mining vehicles.
