BKT Tires Canada Inc has announced an Off-The-Road (OTR) tyre supply alliance with Fountain Tire. Effective immediately, Fountain Tire will have full access to BKT’s OTR product line-up for sale through its locations across Canada. “This alliance allows BKT to expand our OTR footprint in Canada,” says Rajiv Poddar, Joint Managing Director of Balkrishna Industries Ltd. “By aligning with Fountain Tire, we are able to serve a growing OTR segment.”

BKT offers a large range of off-highway tyres specially designed for vehicles in the OTR and agricultural sectors, and says it is particularly focused on developing the OTR segment. The company has recently expanded its radial EARTHMAX lineup by introducing two giant radial OTR tyres in 51 and 57 in sizes. Strengthening its position in the OTR industry is thus strategic for BKT, especially in Canada and the US.

Fountain Tire through its Fountain Tire Mine Service Ltd division in Kamloops, BC, is an active supplier of tyres and related products to many of the major mines in Canada with a substantial market share and multiple on mine-site tyre service facilities and tyre management contracts. It is already a supplier of Goodyear mining tyres in Canada plus is also a major mining tyre supplier in the US.
