lieb.jpgOne of the world’s leading manufacturers and suppliers of mining excavators and haul trucks, Liebherr has chosen to continue providing Immersive Technologies with exclusive access to both its engineering staff and also its confidential, machine technical information which is considered essential to accurately simulate Liebherr’s real machines to the highest level of fidelity for operator training. Liebherr first signed an exclusive alliance agreement with Immersive Technologies in 2005 for haul truck simulation for its T 282 B with a similar agreement signed in 2008 with Liebherr’s excavator business in France.

Bernd Haase, Executive VP of Sales and Marketing from Liebherr said, “Liebherr is pleased to continue working with Immersive on the development of a new simulator for Liebherr’s latest version of its 400 ton(363 t) haul truck – the T 282 C. The T 282 C requires a new simulator as it features a new cab layout and Liebherr designed Litronic Plus drive system. The operator simulator provided by Immersive allows our customers to train their operator’s to safely realize the superior productivity provided by the T 282 C.”

Peter Salfinger, Chief Executive Officer from Immersive Technologies said, “We are very pleased to be continuing our relationship with Liebherr. There is no doubt that our alliance with Liebherr enables Immersive Technologies to build superior simulators for operator training. We are excited about delivering our next Liebherr simulator Conversion Kit® for the T 282 C mining truck to our joint customers.”

Salfinger continued, “Our Customers, globally, are achieving substantial measurable gains in operator safety and site profitability though our advanced equipment simulator solutions. New simulator Conversion Kits like the Liebherr T 282 C will continue to help the mining industry become safer and more efficient through the optimization of its equipment operators.”

Immersive Technologies has exclusive technical and licensing agreements with four other leading mining OEMs which provide comparable levels of proprietary information, support and recommendation. Its simulators are recognized as the mining industry standard, with an extensive, global customer user-base in 30 countries around the world that drives ongoing research and development of the advanced equipment simulator technology.
