Aureus International is putting the spotlight on its low profile, reinforced Eternity underground mining tyres on Stand H1188 during AIMEX at Sydney Olympic Park, September 6-9. The tyres are designed to reduce equipment height without reducing the load carried. “They have been designed by American engineers and offer great operational benefits,” the General Manager of Aureus International Gautam Roy said. “In underground mines, one of the challenges that equipment-design engineers face is the increasing need to reduce the height of the equipment without compromising the expected capabilities and safety standards.
“Eternity tyres meet this challenge.” Unique compounding and construction meant the Eternity range offered longer tread life, greater durability, superior traction, improved safety and better load-carrying capacity, he said.
The tyres were produced using state-of-the-art equipment and proven American technology, he said. “Their superior wear and cut-resistant compound was developed specially for difficult underfoot conditions and their deeper tread depth means a lower hourly running cost.”
Other features of the tyres include a higher ply rating with sidewall reinforcement, a strong lug tread design, and inside steel breakers to make the tread surface rigid and resistant to cuts.
