Posted on 16 Sep 2016

The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company will display its newest, ultra-large haulage mining tyre, the RM-4B+, at its booth during this month’s MINExpo 2016 in Las Vegas. “The new RM-4B+ contains our latest technologies in materials, design, construction and manufacturing, and is precision-made – using our cutting-edge tire manufacturing equipment – to help mine haul trucks operate at optimal levels,” said Caroline Pajot, General Manager, Global OTR Tires, Goodyear.

“This tyre represents the culmination of all we have learned over the years,” she said. “We believe it will become the ‘go-to’ tire for large haulage mining operations.” Also during MINExpo 2016, Goodyear will demonstrate how it helps mining operations reduce their costs through:

  • Trusted products, including a full tyre portfolio, retreads and a variety of uptime-enhancing technologies, such as Goodyear Hi-Stability Carcass Technology, Goodyear CycleMax Tread Compound Technology and Goodyear Permafoam
  • Worldwide support, including an international distribution network and global field support, to help keep mine haul trucks running
  • Reliable services – including global field consultations, tyre surveys and footprint evaluations – to help end users optimise their operations
  • Value-added tools – including Goodyear EMTrack Performance Tracking, digital tools and in-depth training – all designed to help mining operations grow their business with confidence

“Goodyear is committed to the mining industry and our customers,” said Pajot. “We invite MINExpo 2016 attendees to visit our booth to discover how Goodyear can help lower their total cost of ownership.”
