With less than a month to go before the start of the show International Mining previews more from its April Bauma article. This includes Bell Equipment’s mark VI generation ADTs, LiuGong’s 842III wheel loader, Godwin Pumps’ two new Dri-Prime® pumps and Liebherr’s new 62-t crawler excavator. There are also details of four new Terex Finlay models. Manufacturers that have not sent us their details of new Bauma mining products should contact [email protected]
Bell Equipment will showcase its current D-series ADTs. The mark VI generation come equipped with the Canbus-based vehicle control system, which helps the driver carry out supposed routine operations. This includes the standard turbo spin down feature, which regulates spin down time according to how hard the engine has been working and provides the correct cooling down of the turbo unit without wear-intensive oil shortages. The ADTs also feature comfort ride suspension as an option on the B35D, B40D, B45D and B50D, which makes use of reactive hydraulic suspension on the front axle and a double stage sandwich block system on the third axle.
LiuGong Machinery will have four of its wheel loaders on show, including the 842III, which comes with a Cummins engine and ZF semi-automatic transmission. It offers 144 kW rated power at 2,200 rpm and a peak torque of 931 Nm at 1,400 rpm, in addition to a bucket capacity of 2.7 m³ and rated load of 4,000 kg. It weighs 15,300 kg and has a tipping load of 11,083 kg and breakout force of 136 kN. It also has attachments such as a rock bucket, side dump bucket, and pallet forks.
In celebration of the 40th anniversary of the Dri-Prime pump, Godwin is debuting its newest CD Series addition, the model CD500M Dri-Prime pump. The CD500M is a 600 x 400 mm centrifugal pump capable of flow rates to 3,066 m3/h, heads to 61 m and solids handling to 104 mm in diameter. The venturi priming system on the pump provides suction lift capability to 8.5 m and uninterrupted operation, even in intermittent dry suction conditions. Godwin will also show its newest HL260M Dri-Prime pump – a 250 mm x 200 mm single-stage automatic priming centrifugal pump capable of flow rates to 910 m3/h, heads to 183 m and solids handling to 60 mm.
Liebherr’s R 954 C SHD crawler excavator weighs around 62-t and includes the basic unit with 9-t of ballast, operators cab raised by 800 mm and 500 mm wide double-plate track pads. It develops a crowding force of 435 kN and a breakaway force of up to 355 kN. The excavator’s maximum crowding length is 3.38 m, with a discharge height of up to 6.30 m. Its wear-protected shovel has a capacity of 3.5 m3 when working with material with a specific weight of 1.8 t/m3 and the shovel shape enables good penetration and a high filling level.
The four new Terex Finlay models are the J-1480 tracked jaw crusher, C-1550 tracked cone crusher, 694+ tracked inclined four-way split screen and I-130RS tracked impact crusher with detachable sizing screen and recirculation system. The J-1480 incorporates the Terex Jaques 600 t/h capacity single toggle jaw crusher and is available with direct or hydrostatic drive. The C-1550 incorporates the Terex 1300 cone crusher with direct drive and features a pre-screen system with a single deck 2.4 m x 1.5 m screen and 1,200 mm belt to remove fines. The 694+ tracked screen features a large 6.1 m x 1.5 m triple deck screen box, which gives a screening area of 27.9 m³. And, the I-130RS tracked impact crusher incorporates a Terex Cedarapids 1313 impact chamber with hydrostatic drive and advanced electronic control system.
