Iteca Socadei’s new DDR heavy duty rotation sensor is suitable for use with any rotating machines, such as belt conveyors. Continuous monitoring of the equipment – reporting overspeed, underspeed and stops – can raise the lifespan of proximity switches, with the fully enclosed design (proximity switch and all moving parts are inside a robust casing) also increasing the safety of operating personnel.
Two models are available. DDR ø12 is for over and underspeed detection. This proximity switch delivers pulses to a specific module (ULSA) or directly to a PLC. DDR ø 30 is for underspeed detection: this switch delivers a warning when an underspeed occurs; an easy sensor adjustment is then carried out. These units are easy to install, dust proof and feature dry contact output or pulses (according to the proximity switch).
