Goodyear is launching ‘Goodyear at your Service’, a brand new program to benefit Off The Road (OTR) tyre users. Available to all off-road tyre users in the Europe, Middle East and Africa region, the company states that the new internet-based program will ensure that each customer gets the best possible expert support when purchasing and operating Goodyear tyres. The Goodyear statement said: “OTR tyres are a significant investment and their performance is key to the successful operation of the plant to which they are fitted. This means that the correct choice of product and information relating to its operation is essential for customers to ensure that they get the best performance and mileage. By registering for ‘Goodyear at your Service’, a plant operator is able to easily communicate with the local OTR specialist and to get the help or information required as quickly as possible.” In order to promote the new tool, every OTR tyre leaving the Goodyear tyre plant in Luxembourg will carry new stickers. These stickers will carry information about the program and how to register for it. Additionally, a QR code has been placed on the label to ease registration for users using smart-phones.
“With our tyres operating in some of the most remote places in the world, such as in mines and quarries that may be miles from the nearest town or even highway, it is not possible to visit some customers as often as we or they would like”, said Mike King, Managing Director of Goodyear OTR Tyres. “Serving customers who are buying our OTR tyres has always been part of our strategy and it is something that not all manufacturers do. ‘Goodyear at your Service’ links us directly to our customers so we can very quickly respond to any request. By registering, the customer can give us the background information we need to know when giving a tyre recommendation or tyre-related advice.” Internet registration is available at http://otr.goodyear.eu/registration. The registration process offers two possibilities; the first part gives the ability to simply ask a question or request information, and requires only basic data from the user. The second part is more comprehensive and requires additional data, which enables the Goodyear team to give more in-depth advice when requested. Once the registration process has been completed the information is sent to the respective region where the local OTR specialist will respond to any enquiry.
