KSM nears a go decision, Kemess advances, Chaarat feasibility and up to 80 more projects detailed

Resource Capital Research has released a report on Southern Gold, a small, high margin gold producer with near mine, low cost exploration potential in the Kalgoorlie region. Almonty Industries has signed a binding heads of agreement to sell the Wolfram Camp mine (WCM) in Queensland to ATC Alloys. The Mackay Sulphate of Potash (SOP) Project comprises of six tenements covering a total area of 2,457 km2. The project covers the majority of Lake Mackay, which is Western Australia’s largest salt lake. Venturex Resources has retained the services of highly experienced mining and exploration geologist and former senior Oxiana/MMG exploration executive, Stefan Gawlinski, to work with its exploration team.

Brazil‐focused resource development company Crusader Resources has signed a non‐binding option to purchase and install a refurbished plant for its wholly owned high‐grade Juruena gold project. Also, it has signed a joint‐venture Shareholders Agreement and finalised the terms of associated documentation with Lepidico Ltd. The new company, to be known as Third Element Metals, is aiming to become a producer of the third element in the periodic table, namely lithium. Cleveland Mining has installed an additional ball mill at the company’s Joint Venture Premier gold mine in Goias State.

Projects covered in Canada: Denison Mines reports the expansion of the mineralized zone discovered immediately north of the Gryphon deposit. Intact Gold Corp has entered into an option agreement for the Guillet property. Radisson Mining Resources announces assay results from four first holes of its drilling program at the O’Brien gold project. Commerce Resources has completed a preliminary evaluation of local and regional wind data to the west of Lac LeMoyne, indicating favourable wind speeds for renewable power development as part of the Ashram rare earth project’s energy requirements. Kennady Diamonds has successfully completed the Kelvin North Lobe bulk sampling program. Skeena Resources reports on its Spectrum gold-copper project in the Golden Triangle of northwest BC. Taranis Resources aims to process 1,000 t of gold-bearing ore from the SIF Zone at Thor. Victoria Gold’s 100%-owned Dublin Gulch gold property is situated in the central Yukon Territory. Pretium Resources reports on the progress of site construction activities at its high-grade gold Brucejack project located in northwest British Columbia. Rambler Metals and Mining is expanding its Ming copper‐gold mine. Northcliff Resources, on behalf of Sisson Mines, has received notice on the beginning of the final 30-day public comment period on the Comprehensive Study Report for the Sisson project. AuRico Metals’ Environmental Assessment Certificate application for its Kemess Underground Project has been screened and formally accepted for detailed review.

In Chile there is the Nueva Esperanza copper project. Wealth is a mineral resource company with interests in Canada, Mexico, Peru and Chile. Its main focus is the acquisition of lithium projects in South America, including interests in the Maricunga Salar in Chile.

In Mexico there is Bacanora Minerals’ Sonora lithium project and the Magdalena borate project.

There is Los Calatos project (Cu and Mo) in Peru. Focus Ventures is updating on progress on its Bayovar 12 phosphate project, located in the Sechura desert of northern Peru. In Peru the Kaizen Discovery has received an initial payment regarding the exploration of the copper-gold project Pinaya. John Huguet, President and CEO of Aguila American Gold says the “Peruvian Government have put teeth and actions together in their new Mining Laws aimed at converting illegal and informal mining activities into mainstream taxpaying businesses.

In Colombia, Metminco confirmed that it is on track to complete the acquisition of Minera Seafield, owner of the Quinchia Gold Portfolio. Red Eagle Mining is permitted and fully financed at San Ramon gold mine with production expected to commence in the second half of 2016.

In the US, NovaCopper has released an updated NI 43-101 compliant resource estimate for the Bornite project located in the highly prospective Ambler mining district of northwest Alaska. Arizona Mining has closed on previously announced financings for an aggressive drill campaign on the Taylor deposit. Taseko advises that the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality intends to issue a significant amendment to a Temporary Aquifer Protection Permit for the Florence copper project. Graeme O’Neill, President, Bayhorse Silver reports on the status of the Bayhorse silver mine, Oregon. Excelsior Mining Corp announces an update on the permitting progress at the Gunnison copper project. After a difficult winter, the snows at Clifton have melted and Desert Hawk Gold Corp is ramping up production at the Kiewit project. Peninsula Energy has convertible loans to be used for general well field development activities at the Lance projects, resource development drilling, final stage 2 engineering design and feasibility studies at the Karoo Projects in South Africa. Voltaic Minerals has made its trading debut with a new emphasis on lithium. Gold Standard is an advanced stage gold exploration company focused on district scale discoveries on its Railroad-Pinion gold project, located within the prolific Carlin Trend.

Asiamet Resources reports on the BKM gold deposit in Indonesia

Eurasia Mining reports further progress at the Semenovsky Tailings Project in Bashkiria, Russia. Following completion of the Project F Resource Estimate by SRK Consulting (Russia), Tigers Realm Coal has worked to update the 1.0 Mt/y product coal feasibility study. In Spain W Resources, the tungsten, copper and gold exploration and development company with assets in Spain and Portugal, reports strong metal recovery results for its La Parrilla Fast Track Mine.

Goldsource Mines is accelerating planned expansion of production at its Eagle Mountain gold mine located in Guyana.

Danakali Ltd provides the following update with respect to its 50% owned Colluli potash project in Eritrea.
