Modular Mining Systems releases PTX-C mobile hardware platform

Modular Mining Systems Inc, the global supplier of real-time computer-based mine management solutions for surface and underground mining operations, has announced the release of its latest-evolution mobile hardware platform, PTX-C. The PTX-C will be showcased at MINExpo 2016 in Las Vegas later this month.

With more than 35 years of experience delivering mine-tough mobile hardware, Modular says it has developed “a reputation for systems that function reliably in the harshest of environmental conditions. The new PTX-C platform offers marked increases in performance, a significantly faster start-up time, and the ability to accommodate the increasingly complex and growing number of industry-specific applications. Available in 7” and 10” configurations, the PTX-C platform maintains the same form factor as its PTX-B predecessor, enabling straightforward upgrades for current users.”

MINExpo visitors to the Modular booth can see demos of the DISPATCH® Fleet Management system (FMS), DISPATCH Underground 2015 FMS, and ProVision® High-Precision Guidance solutions’ mobile applications on the new PTX-C hardware. Other product highlights at MINExpo will include Modular’s MineCare® Maintenance Management solution and the fourth-generation MineAlert™ Collision Awareness System. The company will also showcase its communications solutions (including the MasterLink® Wireless Network) which focus on the design, integration, deployment, and ongoing support of mining operations’ wireless networks.
