Allegiance Mining’s Lindsay Newnham, David Deitz and Tony Howland-Rose, have been jointly awarded the title Prospector of the Year for the discovery of the Avebury Nickel Province in Tasmania. The award was made by Australia’s Association of Mining and Exploration Companies (AMEC), based in Perth, Western Australia and is sponsored by Teck Cominco.

The statuette of a prospector and inscribed medallions and certificates were presented at a dinner at the Perth Convention Centre on June 8, 2007 by Wayne Spilsbury, General Manager, Teck Cominco in Australia.
