Bucyrus – one company, one name

Bucyrus International and DBT have entered a "brand new era," as the companies put it, following the completion of its acquisition of DBT, the German based manufacturer of underground mining equipment, by Bucyrus. Bucyrus has announced that the integration of the surface (Bucyrus) and underground (DBT) segments will extend to brand integration. From 2008 onward the combined companies will market their products under the single brand name, Bucyrus.

Under the motto ‘One company. One name.’ the single identity will bring totally integrated brand identity and clear positioning of the combined companies to the international marketplace. Bucyrus says "the uniform branding is also a reflection of the synergy generated by the merger of the two companies. The integration of Bucyrus and DBT brings together the expertise of two world class mining equipment manufacturers. The combined product and market strength will now be reflected in a single strong brand identity as well."

Bucyrus and DBT share a similar culture and history and each has a focus on worldclass engineering and manufacturing of high-quality products and services. Maintaining a high value on strong employee relationships is also a priority and the combined companies under the Bucyrus name have a workforce of nearly 6,000 employees who are targeted to achieve annual sales of nearly $2 billion (€1.5 billion) in 2007.
