SGS Minerals Services has expanded its geochemistry laboratory network in West Africa with the opening of a new facility in Bamako, Mali to serve the growing needs of the exploration industry. The high capacity Bamako facility provides sample preparation services for 20,000 samples per month, feeding samples into SGS’ full service laboratory in Tarkwa, Ghana and other laboratories in the SGS network as necessary.

The Bamako facility complements SGS Minerals Services’ five existing commercial laboratories in West Africa and further expands SGS’ network of over 40 commercial geochemistry labs around the world. SGS operates a network of over 1,000 offices and laboratories around the world.
