Aumund, a company focused on providing spare parts supply on a global level, is expanding its spare parts service into a worldwide logistics network. The company aims to provide high spare parts availability and fast shipment of important parts and components from these new facilities in order to guarantee a permanent readiness of devices and equipment for its customers.
The core of the organisation and competence centre for all spare part issues is the company’s head office in Rheinberg. Here, internal work flows are optimised to meet increased requirements on performance, flexibility and efficiency in its spare parts supply further accelerating spare parts handling. At the same time, large investments to introduce new, more modern manufacturing methods and to extend the manufacturing capacities has, according to the company, resulted in shortening the throughput times in production.
An extension of storage capacity in Rheinburg has also ensured that all current spare parts are continually in stock. Thanks to this, urgently required spare parts can be dispatched within 24 hours. Aumund only supplies genuine Aumund spare parts which the company says guarantees longevity, accuracy of fit, and perfect functioning.
Based on the strategic positioning of regional spare parts stockists on different continents, Aumund will in the future have a global spare parts and service network. In addition to the Rheinberg facility and the regional stock at Aumund in Atlanta, another facility has been built in Hong Kong, supplying the Asian area. Thanks to adaptable computer systems, worldwide networking of these locations is possible allowing access to the inventories from any facility. A further expansion of the network is planned to follow soon with stocks in Chennai (India) and São Paulo (Brazil).
