International Mining’s March issue will focus on maintenance – considering whether it is best, in open pits, to work on machines in the shop or in the field. The article will also focus on fuel and tyre management, and look into plant maintenance. That same month (March 9-10 in Vancouver), Infomine, through its EduMine program, presents a two day course by James V. Reyes-Picknell on Uptime – Strategies for Excellence in Maintenance Management. This two day course will help mines:
- Deliver more uptime
- Reduce maintenance costs
- Reduce risks to safety, environment and business
- Shift from reactive to proactive approaches
- Identify the changes and how to implement them
This course is part of an EduMine blended learning program that integrates online learning with classroom sessions by industry specialists. A certificate of attendance from University of Toronto will be issued to delegates who complete the course.
The course will be of particular interest to purchasing, maintenance, engineering and production professionals from mining companies that operate fleets of large haul trucks and mobile mining equipment, vehicles, plant and facilities.
