Metso secures EUR 30 million equipment order from TISCO in China

Metso will supply mining equipment to TISCO’s iron ore processing plant in Lan County, Shanxi Province, China. The delivery will be completed during the third quarter of 2011. The value of the order is approximately EUR 30 million and is included in Metso’s Mining and Construction Technology’s Q2 received orders. The order comprises three semi-autogenous mills as well as related start-up and commissioning services and will be delivered to TISCO’s new iron ore processing plant, which is expected to be completed in 2012.

The annual processing capacity of the plant’s three grinding lines will be 22 Mt of raw ore, which will be the largest capacity in China. TISCO is China’s largest and also one of the world’s largest producers of stainless steel. In 2009, TISCO’s turnover reached about EUR 10 billion.
