dando1.jpgIn a strategic acquisition, Dando Drilling International has been bought by Canada’s Energold Drilling, a growing drilling contractor in the international mining sector. Dando says it is delighted with the acquisition by Energold Drilling. This deal secures the Dando operations that have been established in Littlehampton, West Sussex [UK] since 1867.
Managing Director, Martin Fitch-Roy said: “Becoming part of the Energold group of companies will allow the small and dedicated engineering and sales team in the south of England to focus on producing and supplying the best equipment possible. Dando hopes that the new arrangements will see renewed development of Dando’s core heavy-duty water well rig range for sale into the difficult African markets where we have unique experience. We are also looking forward to the new product opportunities that Energold’s extensive mining operations will bring.”

Dando is currently engaged in the manufacture of 17 secure rig orders for UK and export markets including Mozambique, Sudan, Indonesia, Somalia, Singapore, Pakistan and the Gulf. These machines are for the water well drilling, geotechnical and mineral explorations industries. Dando will continue to support the many hundreds of previously supplied rigs in the field.
