A host of improvements have been added to Version 3.20 of MineSight Schedule Optimizer. The latest version of the software, released Mintec, enhances a product that’s been turning heads in the mining industry. Late last year, the short and medium term planning tool was nominated for an industry award. This latest release adds a Stripping Ratio calculation to MSSO’s Pivot/Summary report, as well as the following:
- Populated data for stockpile outflow columns in Pivot/Summary report
- A revamped and more user-friendly Advanced Constraints dialogue
- A preview table to Advanced Constraints panel to show cuts that are affected by an advanced constraint.
Version 3.20 features more upgrades that build upon new features released with Version 3.10 of MSSO in December 2010.
With another new release, the MineSight Economic Planner has long been a tool of choice for planning engineers tasked with conceptual long term planning and scheduling. It’s initial software applied to new open pit projects during the pr-feasibility and conceptual planning stages. Mintec has just released MineSight Economic Planner Version 2.0, which includes new features and enhancements to the software’s interface and to its charting tool (MSEPc).
Lerchs-Grossman calculations are now much faster and up to 20 materials can now be handled in an economic matrix. There’s an automatic cone calculation for designing pits on larger block models with shallow slopes. And MSEPc has been completely revamped to incorporate all the benefits of Advanced Reporting and Charting.
