Alicoco will display a range of spiral separators on Stand 8106 during AIMEX in Sydney, September 6-9. According to Alicoco, the 1200 Series Spiral Separators incorporate concepts designed to simplify control of the spiral, with applications including mineral sand, alluvial and hard rock gold, silica sand, tungsten, tin, garnet, chromite, iron and sillimanite processing. The separators are supplied in kit-form, allowing them to be easily assembled at mine sites, saving on freight costs, Alicoco says. Mechanical features of the separators include:
- Feed box repulpers with splash lids
- Optional adjustable wash water system
- Optional midway concentrate intercept splitter
- Product box and feed box components in wear-resistant enhanced nylon.
Two models, the 1200L and the 1200H, are available. The 1200L has a 1,200 mm diameter and a 720 mm pitch space, a capacity of up to 8 t/h solids and a pulp density up to 55% solids. Designed for roughing and scavenging duty, it can handle pulp volumes up to 18 m3/h of slurry, with a feed HM grade of up to 15-20%. The 1200H, designed principally for cleaning applications, has a 1,200 mm diameter, a 600 mm pitch space, can handle up to 2 t/h of solids, pulp density up to 45% solids, a size range of 0.03 mm to 0.3 mm, slurry volumes up to 10 m3/h and has a feed HM grade of up to 95%.
