Posted on 20 Sep 2011

Mintec’s latest release of MineSight 3D (MS3D) will be welcome news for short-term planners already using MineSight Interactive Planner (MSIP). Version 6.6 of MS3D has significant implications for users of MSIP-Material Manager. “It is burgeoning with rich new tools and sets a foundation for some great new functionality coming towards the end of the year and early 2012,” said Glenn Wylde, Mintec Vice-President Technical.

“It will surely make MSIP a killer application for any short-term planner.”

Among the coming features will be a calendar approach to scheduling, plus Gantt and resource scheduling.

The following is what’s new today in MSIP-MM for Version 6.6:

  • A new user interface features a more workbench approach with customisable views
  • New advanced reporting and charting, including super easy drag and drop pivot tables and charts
  • User templates for reports and charts
  • Python logic for user attributes calculations
  • New mapping by production source
  • Process point calculations. Python logic to a point in the material process path, great for wash plant logic, etc.
