hv32.jpgJH Fletcher & Co, one of the global leaders in the manufacture of mobile equipment used in underground mining, now offers a low profile, rotary percussive drill head designed specifically for roof bolting applications, even in extremely hard strata. After five years of development, the HV-32 drill was recently released for production and has already seen success in coal, limestone and salt mining applications. The low frequency, high impact nature of the percussion cycle increases drilling efficiency in hard-to-penetrate rock.

“The drill was designed taking advantage of my 30-plus years of experience designing rock drills,” said Ward Morrison, Design Engineering Manager. “This has allowed us to design a drill specifically for roof bolting that is even more simple, reliable and easy to use.” Fletcher, which is celebrating its 75th year in business, offers the HV-32 on new roof bolters as well as retrofit kits, which are fully supported with stock parts.
