Pioneer Pump exhibits key products in Paris

Posted on 18 Apr 2012

150cm.jpgAt the Intermat 2012 construction equipment show this week, Pioneer Pump is exhibiting its market-leading 150CM skid-mounted pumpset, complete with the latest emission compliant CAT C9 ACERT 225 kW diesel engine that drives the 200 mm by 150 mm pump, commonly used in dewatering applications in mining and quarrying. One of ten high power models, the 150CM is packaged by Pioneer in a “Rock & Rain” protection system which protects vital parts of the equipment from adverse weather conditions and falling rocks on site. Used globally and available in three complete packages, the pumpset can be shipped in a single 40 ft ocean container.

Since being appointed a CAT Allied Vendor, Pioneer has been rapidly expanding its product line to fulfil global demand, particularly in construction markets, where demand for these types of pumpsets is high. With features such as run-dry protection – to allow the pump to run without fluid inside it for extended periods – and heavy duty materials of construction to enable good operation in adverse conditions, the pumpsets “have shown to be exceptionally reliable for their owners”, say Pioneer. At the other end of the product portfolio, Pioneer is also exhibiting its 100SL compact, sound-attenuated, portable pumpset used by the general construction market for small scale dewatering and bypass projects. Capable of flows up to 300 m³/hr and pressures of 2.5 bar, the pumpset is used in general rental fleets. Pioneer Pump builds 400 pumps a month in its operations across Europe, America and Africa and states that it designs and builds the world’s largest range of engine-driven, dry-prime pumps for the mining industry.
