loy-yang.jpgThe State Government’s long-term strategy for the Latrobe Valley is a welcome commitment to the development of the region and its vital industries, says Megan Davison, Executive Director Minerals Council of Australia – Victorian Division. “In the face of concerted challenges, such as the Federal Government’s new carbon tax, The Latrobe Valley Industry and Employment Roadmap released today provides a long term strategy for local communities under pressure.”
“There has been considerable uncertainty and anxiety over the future of industries and communities in the Latrobe Valley. This Roadmap identifies the enormous potential for future development in both existing and emerging industries in the region.

“The MCA Victorian Division welcomes the Coalition Government’s commitment to increase Victoria’s competitive advantage by unlocking and developing one of the world’s largest brown coal resources.
