fpress.jpgMcLanahan Corporation, probably best known in mining for its mineral size reduction systems, has launched the first line of McLanahan Filter Presses which are designed, manufactured and serviced directly from the US. The company states: “These fully automatic systems provide the most efficient, cost-effective fines dewatering solution in the industry. They eliminate the need for slurry ponds and a full time operator while producing dry cakes and use less chemicals. The McLanahan Smart Hydraulics system keeps the press in alignment for longer seal life, better alignment and easier diagnostics.”

This technology treats the underflow of a thickener, clarifier or other waste and dewatering processes. Several different options are available in regards to the design of the machine. Both overhead beam and side beam designs are available and can feature either recessed chamber filter plates or membrane filter plates with a wide range of available pressures from 225 to 725 psi. Other options include core blow systems and automatic wash systems. Founded in 1835, McLanahan focuses on the design and manufacture of heavy-duty equipment, including processing and sampling equipment for the mineral and aggregate industries.
