Better visualisation and compatibility are at the heart of Mintec’s recent ‘bundle’ release of products. MineSight Version 7.5 comprises improved versions of five products: MineSight 3D, MineSight Schedule Optimizer, MineSight Torque, MineSight Basis and MineSight Data Analyst. The bundle release features more interoperability between MineSight components.
• MineSight Schedule Optimizer now has greater integration with the MS3D viewer, offering engineers greater visualization and animation of plans.
• MineSight Torque now features better drillhole editing in MS3D, downhole compositing, and MineSight’s Advanced Reporting and Charting (ARC)
• Enhanced labeling has been added to MS3D, which now offers a project locking feature for better control over multiple users sharing data.
• MineSight Basis programs now have expanded integration with MineSight Torque so more programs can read and write MineSight Torque data.
• MineSight Torque’s composite set fields are now supported by MineSight Data Analyst.
The release “offers a multitude of improvements across the board to MineSight,” said Mintec President, John Davies. “For MineSight Torque and MineSight Schedule Optimizer, in particular, greater integration with MS3D is part of continuous development with our clients’ productivity in mind.”
Talking of MINExpo, “In 30 years of attending mining events, it was definitely the busiest show, in terms of booth traffic, I have ever seen,” said Davies. “At times, we had everyone talking to clients, potential clients, and giving demos. In fact, our technical team worked non-stop giving demos.”
Mintec regional sales manager, Frank Olivieri was still catching his breath last Wednesday. “Monday and Tuesday were flat out – nonstop,” he said. “We had seven face-to-face demos in our satellite conference room and about three times as many interactive demos at the booth, amongst all the noise and traffic.”
MINExpo coincided with two MineSight product launches: This MineSight 7.5 ‘bundle’ release and MineSight Axis’ integration with Modular Mining Systems’ ProVision 3 high-precision machine guidance software.
Mintec unveiled two new videos – Products for Productivity and Spirit of Service – which garnered much attention at the booth. Visitors also received copies of Mintec’s new electronic brochure and the company’s latest position papers, entitled the Mintec Series.
