Atlas Copco extends WEDA pump offer with small range pumps

Posted on 24 Oct 2012

ac_montage.jpgTo meet customer demand for quick and efficient dewatering solutions, Atlas Copco Portable Energy is introducing four new pumps additions to its WEDA range. The WEDA 04 and 08 drainage pumps, the WEDA 04B residual pump and the WEDA 08S sludge pump will be available from November 2012. The 04 and 08 are single-phase electric submersible dewatering pumps with flow rate capacities of 8 to 20 m3/h, with heads of 11 to 15 m. Easy to move and install, they can be quickly put to work in a wide range of mine dewatering situations. The drainage pumps have polyurethane semi vortex impellers, designed to handle water with very low risk of clogging.

The WEDA 04B residual pump draws water down to 1mm. With the built-in non-return valve, the pump can be moved without spilling or losing suction. A rubber-coated bottom avoids damage to tanks and pools.

Finally, the WEDA 08S sludge pump is sand and mud-resistant. Designed with a vortex cast iron impeller, particles and debris of 25 mm diameter can go through the pump housing with minimal wear.

The new pump range was designed to improve durability and simplify maintenance. The new WEDA additions feature a small, lightweight and high efficiency motor and theirtriple shaft seal design ensures reliability. An integrated high-torque capacitor and three-terminal auto-cut thermal protection prevent overheating due to overloading. To ensure easy service, the pumps can be disassembled by removing only three bolts.
