CorDEX Instruments, the UK manufacturer of instrumentation and equipment for hazardous environments, is introducing a world first at Maintec 2013 in Birmingham in March, the TC7000. This new, intrinsically safe product is a ideal for anyone involved in predictive maintenance as it will be invaluable both in explosive areas and also in industry at large. It takes a proven method of inspection and not only extends its scope of application into explosive environments but also adds in RFID technology so that findings can be tagged to a location and trends easily documented.
Certified as intrinsically safe to ATEX and IECEx standards, this latest introduction from CorDEX Instruments is the result of many years’ of research and development. All of the company’s considerable experience in designing for hazardous area operation is invested in this product. Very low voltage and current are implicit in its safety rating but this has been achieved without any compromise on performance, the company says.
The world launch platform for this exciting development is the CorDEX Instruments’ stand at the show. And naturally the company will also be showcasing several other products in its popular range of hand-held inspection and NDT devices for operation in hazardous areas. Visitors will be able to examine CorDEX Instruments’ other ATEX certified products including the ToughPIX series of digital cameras, the LaserMETER 3000XP laser distance meter and the UT5000 intrinsically safe ultrasonic thickness gauge. The company’s IW Series Intelligent IR Windows with innovative locking mechanism and multiple identification system will also feature.
