Slope Stability 2013 conference in Queensland, Australia

Abstracts are due for the ACG Slope Stability 2013 Symposium by February 25 this year. Slope Stability 2013 will provide a forum for open pit mining and civil engineering practitioners, consultants, researchers and suppliers worldwide to exchange views on best practice and state-of-the-art slope technologies. The event is being held September 25-27 at the Sofitel Brisbane Central Hotel. www.acg.uwa.edu.au. Keynote speakers include Geoff Beale, Schlumberger, UK; Prof Derek Martin, University of Alberta, Canada; Dr John Read, CSIRO Earth Science & Resource Engineering; Dr John Simmons, Sherwood Geotechnical and Research Services; Dr Jonny Sjöberg, Itasca Consultants AB, Sweden; and Prof Tim Sullivan, Pells Sullivan Meynink Pty.
