Banro Corp provided a brief corporate update on its gold operations in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and an overview of progress made on the strategy set out for 2013 in the press release dated November 12, 2012. Twangiza plant expansion continues as planned and  Namoya construction on schedule for Q4 completion.

There is great interest in IMX Resources’ 100%-owned highly prospective Nachingwea exploration project in southeast Tanzania, which includes the potentially worldclass Ntaka Hill nickel sulphide project, located approximately 250 km west of the port town of Mtwara. Nachingwea is highly prospective for nickel and copper sulphide, gold and graphite mineralisation. Ntaka Hill is one of the world’s best undeveloped nickel sulphide projects and has the potential to produce a very clean, high-quality, premium nickel concentrate.

Tim Coughlin, Lydian’s President and CEO describes the latest resource update as “another milestone in Amulsar’s development [Armenia] into what we believe will be a high-margin, world-class and exemplary gold mine. The new geological model has helped better constrain grade boundaries and continuity and together with this resource update we have highlighted several areas interpreted to host further and significant gold resource potential. This resource will be used to estimate reserves in an updated feasibility study scheduled for release in July of this year. A further resource update based on additional drilling throughout 2013 is scheduled for release in quarter one of next year”

Inmet Mining Corp and its wholly owned subsidiary, Minera Panama (MPSA), and Petaquilla Minerals have signed a binding term sheet outlining the agreement of the companies relating to aggregate procurement, land access and use, settlement of certain claims, waiver of royalties to be received by Inmet, and camp site procurement for the mutual benefit of MPSA’s and Petaquilla’s mining operations in the District of Donoso, Panama.

Sedgman has secured an EPC contract for a new processing plant for La Mancha Resources’ Mungari gold project located 20 km west of Kalgoorlie in Western Australia. Sedgman’s EPC work is approximately A$90 million, included in a total La Mancha project value of A$110 million.

Ma’aden’s affiliate, Ma’aden Gold & Base Metals Company has signed a contract worth SR1.018 billion with Hanwha Engineering and Construction to construct a Gravity-CIL Gold Processing Plant at the Ad Duwayhi gold mine site currently under development in a remote area of the desert between Riyadh and Taif.

The Executive Director of the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE), Chris Urbina, has, affirmed the decision of an appointed hearing officer in an administrative process required for the reissuance of the radioactive materials license for Energy Fuels’ Pinon Ridge uranium mill.

Silver Lake Resources has poured the first gold mined and processed from its Murchison gold operations located 600 km North of Perth. The Murchison gold operations consists of multiple mines feeding a central 1.2 Mt/y processing facility and has a current resource of 20.5 million tonnes at 2.9 g/t Au for 1.9 Moz of gold.

OceanaGold Corp has provided an update on its Didipio mine located in Luzon, Philippines which is currently undergoing commissioning activities. Ramp up of the process plant continues to track well. To date, approximately 2,500 t of copper-gold concentrate has been delivered to port and in excess of an additional 2,500 t has been produced and is awaiting transport from the mine site.

Lynas Corp confirms that the Lynas Advanced Material Plant in Malaysia (LAMP) has produced its first rare earths products for customers.

:Coal mining by DTEK’s enterprises was 39.7 Mt in 2012, coal processing: 27.7 Mt, electricity output by generation companies: 51.4 billion kWh, and electricity distribution: 53.9 billion kWh. DTEK completed a phase of active business expansion, and is now moving onto a new stage of focusing on systematic improvement of its enterprises.

Riverstone Resources has received TSX Venture Exchange approval to change its name to True Gold Mining, which was approved by a resolution of the directors of the company in accordance with the company’s articles.
