Weir Minerals launches first service centre in Poland

Posted on 11 Apr 2013

Weir Minerals has increased support to its growing customer base in Poland by launching its first service centre at the strategically located Leszno. The town in west Poland is well placed for road transport infrastructure and allows fast access to customer locations across the country. The site will hold strategic stock to minimise delivery times for replacement parts and is a convenient site for off-site repair and maintenance by a team of engineers, permanently based at the centre.

Weir Minerals’ key customers in Poland include copper producer KGHM, as well as the Rybnik, Patnow and Belchatow power stations and chemical and fertiliser producer ZA Pulawy. Jaroslaw Kukawski, Regional Sales Manager for Poland at Weir Minerals said: “The new facility means we can get closer to customers and prospects around the country, improving the service we already provide, and developing our propositions for winning business. An important part of this is the step change the facility will allow in the after-sale support we provide our customers, with emergency response times improved and delivery times for spare parts significantly improved. Poland is a key market for Weir Minerals, and this investment demonstrates our commitment to working with Polish businesses to help them get more productive and efficient.”
