Grindex Toolbox app helps pump customers on the move

Posted on 29 Apr 2013

Dewatering pump group Grindex has launched a new Grindex Toolbox app, allowing mining and other industrial customers  to select pumps and spare parts on their handheld devices such as iPhones and iPads. The company states: “Grindex Toolbox, for hand held devices, provides a range of features to support a quick and easy selection of Grindex pumps as well as identification of Grindex original spares. With this app you get a very convenient access to the wide range of Grindex offerings.”

The application offers several powerful and easy to use functions. With regard to pump selection, users can search products from a defined duty point (flow and head); do a quick search from a product denomination; access detailed product data, like impeller material, motor rating and outlet size; and access product performance graphs and dimensional drawings. In spare parts, users can find spare parts from a serial number and access exploded views showing all product parts. A cart function means selected items can be stored in a list and sent from the app as an email. Finally, it includes the well known Grindex Pumps School, which is a collection of technical articles to help users with common dewatering issues.

The Grindex Toolbox can be customised with units and frequency settings according to each user’s individual preference. The dialogue in the app is adapted to the language setting in the phone. All major languages are supported, including Russian and Chinese.
