Chevron Products Company, a division of Chevron and the maker of Delo brand technologically advanced engine oils. lubricants and coolants has released a new case study highlighting the performance of Delo 400 Multigrade SAE 15W-40 and Delo Extended Life Coolant at PT Newmont Nusa Tenggara (PTNNT) copper mines, located on the Indonesian island of Sumbawa.

PTNNT operates a fleet of 111 Caterpillar 793 Haul Trucks, which run 24 hours a day, seven days a wekk, under harsh mining conditions. The trucks are powered by Cat 3516 engines and typically experience 500 hours oil drains and 12,000 coolant service cycles. PTNNT uses Delo 400 Multigrade SAE 15W-40 and Delo Extended Life Coolant to protect its engines. After a complete engine teardown and inspection of one of the Cat 3516 engines following 18,600+ hours of operation, PTNNT found the engine components to be in “pristine condition” with minimal wear.
