Mintec releases new Minesight Schedule Optimiser

Posted on 31 May 2013

Mintec has released an improved MineSight Schedule Optimiser (MSSO). Mine engineers around the world have been using the MSSO for their short, medium, and long-term planning needs. It determines the most productive mining sequence to achieve the highest project profitability and then generates practical short-to medium-term project schedules.

NPV and cash flow are integral to enhancements in Version 7.2 of MSSO. Costs associated with mining, processing, reclaim, hauling, loading, and capital can now be managed and presented with the addition of reports.  New tables and graphs allow MSSO users to present their cumulative cash flow and NPV data without the need for third-party spreadsheets.  Also new is a cycle-time report to display the raw cycle-time data imported from MineSight Planning Database. Constraint grids have also been redesigned for ease of use.

Today’s enhancements are the latest in a long line of new functionalities added to MSSO over the last year. An improved calculation engine, integrated workflow, better reporting, charting and visualization, and a more user-friendly graphic interface are among the upgrades. MSSO can work together with MineSight Haulage and the soon-to-be released MineSight Atlas.
