To support its existing product range, and to help make the marketplace more aware of the complete package solutions it offers for larger gearboxes, Bauer has launched a new Industrial Drive Applications service, which offers a huge range of torque figures and reduction ratios from a variety of gearing arrangements. The new service includes high-torque helical, bevel-helical and planetary gearboxes which are designed and specified in-house to deliver up to 1.5 million Nm of torque.
Bauer is well known for manufacturing a wide range of reliable and efficient gear motors for industrial applications such as mining, but until now the perception of the business is generally as a supplier of smaller units. The new area Industrial Drive Applications adds another string to Bauer’s bow, allowing it to offer customers total package solutions across entire sites in many different industries. The area offers a range of gearbox solutions with varying torque depending on requirements including Helical and Bevel Helical gearboxes which deliver up to 300,000 Nm of torque and planetary gearboxes which offer up to 1,500,000 Nm of torque.
