FAE Australia will be showing its range of mining and land reclamation prime movers at AIMEX 2013, held in Sydney from August 20-23. The company’s prime movers range from 134 kW up to 450 kW and are designed for land clearing operations around mines – including tree-falling and mulching, rock crushing and soil stabilisation using various attachments.
FAE’s recently released PT600 will be on show, which is the largest in its range with a power output of 450 kW. FAE Australia’s company Managing Director Diego Facchinetti said that the range incorporates various attachments driven by a purpose-designed transmission system allowing the speed of the rotor to be easily adjusted during operations. The transmission incorporates automatic variable displacement piston motors to ensure a seamless transition between high and low speed.
Facchinetti said “Each machine is equipped with separate hydraulic systems to power the various functions in order to maximise performance in every situation.”
The 500U-275 crushing and mulching attachment will also be present at AIMEX 2013, which incorporates FAE’s A S/R hammer design for longer life containment areas.
“Each machine is equipped with separate hydraulic systems to power the various functions in order to maximise performance in every situation,” said Facchinetti.
Also on show will be its new 500U-275 crushing and mulching attachment, which incorporates FAE’s A S/R hammer design for longer life in contaminated areas. Features of the crushing and mulching attachment also include a 2.75 m wide mulching head, an 830 l fuel tank, joystick controls and large ergonomic cab, giving the highest levels of visibility and comfort and an 800 mm wide track shoes giving just 39 kPa ground pressure.
Safety features include Lexan Margard cabin windows, a FOPS/ROPS cabin structure, a roll bar on the engine cab and three emergency exits, including a manhole in the cabin roof with an external handle.
