Mining and construction sites are often located in remote areas with limited connectivity. With the aim of creating a mobile platform to simplify access to information on wear parts, machine compatibility and quote requests, MTG has released MTG PRO, which it believes to be the first iPad application covernig wear parts for earthmoving and mining machinery. The application was first unveiled at Bauma 2013 in Munich.
MTG PRO is described as “an interactive app that is fully and quickly accessible from any location.” Information is organised and segmented per user group, with quick and direct access to the MTG support team, sales team and local distributors. It also has a tool that facilitates sales by directly sending quotes via email to MTG distributors. Other features include a simple interface to enhance the user experience; a gallery consisting of a wide range of presentations, support documents, images and videos of MTG’s products working on site; a “what’s new” section that contains all the latest corporate and MTG product news; and finally a “setup wizard” tool that helps users to configure their buckets with teeth and MTG adaptors by taking them through a series of easy to follow steps.
