Nominations for the International Mining Technology Hall of Fame close on September 20 and then judging closes at the end of October and this year’s inductees will be announced soon after. The inductee celebration will be on the Saturday evening before the SME Annual Meeting starts in Salt Lake City in February 2014 (www.im-halloffame.com). The IMT Hall of Fame honours those who have made a difference in mining technology and methods and whose innovations, ideas, and leadership have contributed significantly to the growth and strength of the industry. The 2013 inductees will be the first of what will be an annual international event to be held on different continents over the coming years.
International Mining thanks the electoral college of voters around the world for lending their time and expertise to help our sponsors recognise industry leaders – past and present. Each year the judges’ industry knowledge will contribute to the program’s success. Judges for the IMT Hall of Fame include industry experts from mining companies, engineering companies, consultants and some of the world’s top mining schools.
