Mining customers working to supply and meet portable power needs on jobsites throughout the Oceania market have a new option in the launch of the Doosan Portable Power ECO Rental Range. The new generators “meet a multitude of jobsite needs with a durable design that enhances product lifespan for increased return on investment.”
The new models include the G90WCU-1E, with a prime power rating of 90 kVA/72 kW; the G125WCU-1E, with a prime power rating of 125 kVA/100 kW; the G200WCU-1E, with a prime power rating of 200 kVA/160 kW; and the G315WCU-1E, with a prime power rating of 315 kVA/252 kW.
“We asked our customers in the Oceania region what portable power features they needed most, and were told they were looking for a simplified generator – one that would meet common requirements of the majority of jobsites, without added features that increase operational complexity and product price,” said Todd Howe, Manager, Global Generator Products, Doosan Portable Power. “We listened to their needs, and developed the ECO Rental Range with those points in mind, providing the right balance of features, durability and price point.” Simplifying machine use is a one-push, autostart control system that provides safe and easy operation of the machine, accompanied by a user-friendly control panel that includes analog gauges for at-a-glance monitoring of generator performance. Power connections are made simple via direct hard-wire links to the main circuit breaker.
Multiple considerations were made in machine design to protect operators during use, including an emergency stop button; a safety switch that prevents users from accessing high voltage connections during operation; multiple grounding configurations; protection from high temperature components; and an optional residual current device. As with all Doosan Portable Power models, the ECO Rental Range line is built to withstand even the harshest of jobsite environments, constructed on heavy-duty skidbases for increased stability with heavy-gauge steel enclosures that protect the unit from rust and corrosion.
All generators come standard with a 110 % environmental containment system which protects against fuel or oil spills. Helping maximise machine uptime are easy-to-access service points and extended runtimes. Battery, fuel and air filters, and oil and fuel fill are all located within easy reach, encouraging servicing and thereby extending machine lifespan. Uptime is maximised with an average 12-hour runtime at 100 % load.
