Mintec says it is further distancing itself “from the competition with the newest release of MineSight Schedule Optimizer. Version 8.2 of the software supports average stockpile reclaim in multiperiod scheduling, a feature long-sought by mine engineers.” Multiple optimisations can be run concurrently on the same machine, which will help clients who want to set up several scenarios simultaneously.

It also benefits clients who want to run MineSight Schedule Optimizer on powerful servers. This release adds the ability to handle Item-Weighted-Average (IWA) in an analysis report.

Other improvements in MSSO 8.2 respond directly to client feedback. The pace of MSSO development has been attracting significant attention and recently included an upgrade that saw the ability to maximise Net Present Value. Multiperiod scheduling was also introduced in late 2013, along with non-fallible scheduling. 

Its integration with MineSight Haulage and MineSight Atlas, a complete package for manual scheduling and stockpile blending, make MSSO an essential planning tool for clients needing a standardized approach to scheduling.
